Theme: “Turning Stories into Action”
International Epilepsy Day is celebrated every year on 9th of February, and it’s a global initiative to raise awareness about epilepsy and support those living with the condition. The theme for this year is “Turning stories into action”, focusing on promoting understanding, reducing stigma, and advocating for better access to diagnosis, treatment and social inclusion.
Rohilkhand College of Nursing, Bareilly celebrated this day in Multipurpose Hall at 10:00 am, this awareness programme was organized by Dr. Anitha Martin, Vice principal, RCN. Unfolding of the theme was done by Dr. Anitha Martin, Vice principal, RCN and education regarding epilepsy and its first aid management was given by Dr. Puneeth Reddy, Assistant professor, emergency medicine, RMCH. The program successfully engaged students and faculty in awareness activities including expert knowledge sharing, poster competition and speech competition.
This event took place under the guidance of Dr. Priyanka A Masih, Principal, RCN. Certain events faculty members and students of GNM I year were present and attended Programme in multipurpose hall.
- Poster Competition
Students displayed their creativity through informative posters emphasizing the theme. The competition encouraged visual communication and awareness building. Event in charge was Mrs. Priyanka Kashyap, PG Nursing Tutor.
- Speech Competition
Participants presented impactful speech on the theme, turning stories into action. This activity helped convey strong health messages in simple words. Event in charge was Ms. Kirti, UG Nursing Tutor.
