The faculty members of the Faculty of Allied and Health Care Sciences at Bareilly International University, Bareilly, actively participated in a Post-Budget Webinar aimed at providing detailed insights into the announcements and initiatives made for the allied and healthcare sector in the Union Budget.
The webinar commenced with an inspiring address by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, who highlighted the Government’s commitment to strengthening healthcare, skill development, and the AYUSH sector across the country.
The webinar was jointly organized by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Ministry of AYUSH, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, and the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. The session focused on various policy initiatives and schemes introduced in the budget to strengthen the healthcare ecosystem.
During the webinar, several key highlights were discussed, including the expansion of allied health professionals, a plan to train approximately 1.5 lakh caregivers, the establishment of five regional medical hubs, the upgradation of Ayurveda and AYUSH institutions, strengthening of mental health institutes, and the development of emergency and trauma care centers. Additionally, initiatives such as the Divyang Sahayata Yojana for the empowerment and support of persons with disabilities were also highlighted.
Dr. Prashant Gupta, Principal of the Faculty of Allied and Health Care Sciences, stated that the webinar was highly significant for faculty members and students associated with the allied and healthcare sector. He emphasized that such platforms help participants understand newly introduced policies and schemes in the health sector and contribute to improving the quality of healthcare education and training in the future.
The Vice Chancellor of the university, Dr. Lata Agrawal, extended her best wishes to all participants and noted that such webinars play a crucial role in connecting educational institutions with national policies and developmental initiatives.
On this occasion, Academic Incharge Dr. Amarnath Sharma, Dr. Anmol Sharma, NSS Program Officer Ankit Kumar, along with other faculty members, also participated in the webinar and appreciated the session as highly informative and insightful.
