Welcoming Future Nurses: Three-Day Orientation Programme at Rohilkhand College of Nursing Concludes Successfully

Rohilkhand College of Nursing organized a three-day orientation programme from 01 August 2026 to 04 August 2026 for the newly admitted B.Sc. Nursing students. The main aim of the programme was to familiarize the students with the academic aspects of the course, the rules and regulations of the college, and the hospital environment. The programme was conducted by Ms. Shweta Singh (PG Nursing Tutor), Mrs.Bhawana (PG Nursing Tutor), and Mrs. Roma (PG Nursing Tutor).

Day 1 (01 August 2026)

The orientation programme commenced at 8:00 AM with the introduction of the class and class coordinators by Ms. Shweta Singh, Mrs. Bhawana, and Mrs. Roma Singh (P.G. Nursing Tutors). This was followed by an Academic and Curriculum Orientation by Mr.Mukesh Singh (Assistant Professor) and a College and School Orientation by Mr.AnandPrakash (P.G. Nursing Tutor).

Later, the students attended a Hospital Orientation, where they were introduced to the hospital setup, various departments, and patient care areas. After the lunch break, an informative session on University Orientation was conducted by Mr.Mukesh Singh (Assistant Professor). The day concluded with a session on Student Nurses’ Association (SNA) and its Activities by Ms.PratibhaCharan (Assistant Professor).

Day2 (03 August 2026)

The second day began with a session on the Importance of Attendance and Internal Marks Scheme of Examination by Dr.Anitha P. (Professor-cum-Vice Principal). This was followed by an interactive session on Memorizing and Concentration by Mr.Velladurai Narayanan (Professor). The students also attended a session on Time Management and College Rules & Regulations by Mr.TarunDhyani (Assistant Professor). After the lunch break, Mr.Vaibhav Singh (P.G. Nursing Tutor) conducted a motivational session on Joyful Examination, followed by a session on Communication and College Rules & Regulations by Mrs.Akansha Emmanuel (Associate Professor).

Day 3 (04 August 2026)

The third day of the orientation programme was conducted in the Multipurpose Hall. The programme began with the welcome of the newly admitted students, followed by the introduction of faculty members by Ms.Shweta Singh, Mrs.Bhawana, and Mrs. Roma Singh (P.G. Nursing Tutors). The students then gave their self-introduction, followed by an inspiring address by the Principal. Guest speakers delivered sessions on the course curriculum and academic expectations. A session on the Clinical Importance of Nursing was conducted by Mrs. Chandra Prabha Joshi (Assistant Professor). After the lunch break, the students completed their documentation and admission-related formalities.

Conclusion

The three-day Orientation Programme was conducted successfully and achieved its objectives. It provided the newly admitted B.Sc. Nursing students with a comprehensive understanding of the academic curriculum, university regulations, college policies, hospital environment, faculty members, and clinical expectations.
