Introduction
As part of the Pharma covigilance Week (17th – 23rd September 2025), the Department of Pharmacology, RMCH, organized various awareness and sensitization activities. Nursing students of Rohilkhand College of Nursing actively participated in the program, gaining knowledge about ADR (Adverse Drug Reaction) reporting, patient safety, and the role of pharmacovigilance in healthcare.
Program Highlights for Nursing Students
19/09/2025: Sensitization session exclusively for Nursing Students on ADR Reporting.
Students were guided on how to identify, document, and report ADRs through the PvPi (Pharmacovigilance Programme of India).
Faculty experts emphasized the importance of pharmacovigilance in improving patient care and drug safety.
Outcome
Nursing students gained awareness of pharmacovigilance practices.
The session encouraged future nurses to take an active role in reporting ADRs and ensuring patient safety.
Students understood the value of ethical responsibility in drug monitoring as part of nursing care.
Conclusion
The Pharmacovigilance sensitization program for Rohilkhand College of Nursing was impactful and educational. It not only enhanced students’ knowledge about drug safety and ADR reporting but also strengthened their commitment to patient-centered care and professional responsibility.
