Brief Introduction:-
The NavSaksharta Programme is a nationwide campaign initiated by the Government of India to promote new-age literacy skills, including digital literacy, financial literacy, and social awareness. To contribute towards this mission, our college organized a special program for the Students And Faculties.
Objective:
To create awareness about the importance of literacy in the digital era.To equip staff members with knowledge of basic digital tools and online resources.
To promote inclusivity by ensuring all staff members are familiar with financial and social literacy concepts.
Program Details:
Awareness Sessions:A presentation on Digital Literacy: usage of smartphones, internet safety, and e-governance services.
A session on Financial Literacy: cashless transactions, UPI payments, online banking.
Social Awareness: importance of communication, health & hygiene, and lifelong learning.
Interactive Activities:
Staff members participated in hands-on activities like digital payment demonstrations, creating and using email IDs, and exploring educational apps.
Vocational Skills: Introduction to skill-based training that can help in improving employability and self-reliance.
Feedback & Participation:
The participants actively engaged in discussions and shared their learning experiences. Feedback collected indicated that the program was highly beneficial for both teaching and non-teaching staff.
Conclusion:
The NavSaksharta programme successfully created awareness among college Students and Faculties about modern literacy requirements. The initiative strengthened the vision of inclusive education and lifelong learning. The college has decided to continue such programs in the future to ensure continuous growth and awareness.
