A CME on Fetal Medicine “From Screening to Diagnosis- Fetal Medicine Made Simple” , held on 23rdNovember, 2025, organized by Dept. of OBG under the esteemed patronage of Dr. Lata Agrawal (Vice Chancellor BIU), Dr.Kiran Agarwal (Pro Vice Chancellor BIU), with Dr. Pragya Mishra & Dr. Tripti Gupta serving as the organizing chairperson & organizing secretary respectively.
The objective of the programme was to update clinicians & post graduate trainees on current evidence based practices & recent advances on fetal medicine.
The scientific sessions included a keynote lecture by Dr. Dipika Deka, a distinguished experts in fetal medicine & genetics on “Recent Advances in Preconception genetic screening”, highlighting the importance of early identification of genetic risks, counselling strategies and preventive approaches to improve maternal & fetal outcomes.
Subsequent academic sessions covered the following key areas :
- First trimester screening protocols
- Ultrasound markers of genetic abnormalities
- Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing
- Invasive Diagnostic Procedures
- Rh-Isoimmunization
- Recent protocols & role of multivessel doppler in FGR
The CME featured active participation ,case based discussions & interactive question answer segments,facilitating deeper understanding and clinical applicability of the topics presented.
This CME had been awarded 6 Credit Hours by Uttar Pradesh Medical Council.
The programme was well appreciated by delegates & proved academically enriching, contributing to enhanced standards of prenatal screening, diagnosis & fetal care.
