Introduction

On August 13, 2026, Rohilkhand College of Nursing, Bareilly, organized an Organ Donation Awareness Program on the theme “Angdaan – JeevanAbhiyan.” The program aimed to create awareness among students and faculty members about the importance of organ donation and to encourage a positive attitude towards organ donation. The event highlighted how organ donation can provide a second chance at life to patients suffering from end-stage organ failure.

Event Highlights

• The program commenced at 02:00 PM in the Multipurpose Hall (MPH). The event was graced by the presence of the Principal, Vice-Principal, faculty members, and students of the college.
• Essay Writing Competition: An essay writing competition was organized to provide students with an opportunity to express their knowledge and views on the importance of organ donation. The winners of the competition were:
  • First Position: Palak, ANM I Year
  • Second Position: Neharika, GNM I Year
  • Third Position: Bhumika, B.Sc. Nursing I Semester
• Poster Making Competition: A poster making competition was also organized to creatively promote awareness about organ donation. Students prepared informative and attractive posters conveying the message of organ donation and its life-saving importance. The winners were:
  • First Position: Aman, B.Sc. Nursing I Semester
  • Second Position: Aabhya, GNM I Year and Aditi, B.Sc. Nursing I Semester
  • Third Position: Jigyasa, GNM I Year
• The competitions encouraged students to demonstrate their creativity, knowledge, and commitment towards promoting organ donation awareness.

Conclusion

The Organ Donation Awareness Program concluded successfully at 04:00 PM. The program served as an effective platform for educating students about the importance of organ donation and motivating them to become ambassadors of this life-saving cause. The essay writing and poster making competitions added enthusiasm and encouraged active participation among students. The event reinforced the message that organ donation is a noble act that can save lives and give hope to those in need, thereby strengthening the college’s commitment to health awareness and community welfare.
