Bareilly, Nov 28, 2025 — In a significant step towards digital safety, the Anti-Crime and Anti-Corruption Mission Bharat Trust, Bareilly, conducted a Cybersecurity Awareness Programme at BIU College of Humanities & Journalism and BIU College of Management, Bareilly International University, today.
The programme commenced at 3:00 pm with the ceremonial lamp lighting before Maa Saraswati by Chief Guest Mr. Kamal Jeet Singh, accompanied by Mrs. Savita Sharma, Mr. Sanjay Sharma, Dr. Abnish Singh Chauhan, Dr. Sunil Kumar Singh, Mr. Atul Babu, and other dignitaries.
Anchored by Ms. Priya Jha, the event began with a graceful Saraswati Vandana presented by Ms. Nidhi Bharti and Ms. Anchal Singh. Following this, the Chief Guest and chairman of the trust, Mr. Kamal Jeet Singh, addressed the gathering. He urged students to remain alert and aware of cyber threats, remarking that “Cyber frauds happen due to fear, greed, or ignorance.” He also emphasized the importance of using mobile phones and social media platforms safely. Adding to the discourse, Mrs. Savita Sharma and Mr. Sanjay Sharma shared real-life experiences of cyber fraud, highlighting the increasing need for digital vigilance.
The programme aimed to promote cybersecurity awareness among students and faculty while strengthening academic collaboration between the university and the trust.
Principal Dr. Abnish Singh Chauhan expressed gratitude to the entire team for delivering an insightful and impactful session.
The event was attended by distinguished faculty members including Mr. Ankit Yadav, Ms. Shalini Singh, Mr. Shivom Shankhdhar, Ms. Shivani, Ms. Chhavi Pal, and Mr. Chaman Babu. Representatives from the trust—Mr. Sanjeev Agrawal, Mr. Rati Ram, and Mr. Rahul Sharma—were also present.
Students from BA (Mass Communication), BBA (Finance and Taxation), B.Com (H), and BCA (IT & Multimedia / AI & Machine Learning) enthusiastically participated in the programme.
The event concluded with the recitation of the National Anthem by Ms. Nidhi Bharti, Ms. Alisha Qureshi, and Ms. Priya Jha.
