Introduction

The inauguration of Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan was held on 17th September 2025 at Rohilkhand Medical College and Hospital (RMCH), Bareilly. The Abhiyaan aimed to address and improve women’s health through a series of health camps, screening programs, and awareness drives, emphasizing the pivotal role of women’s health in the well-being of families and communities.

Program Highlights

The campaign included a range of services and awareness initiatives: Women’s Health Screening, Deworming Awareness Sessions, Menstrual Hygiene Education, Screening for Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) and Breast Cancer, Breast Self-Examination Demonstrations, TB Screening and Counselling for Vulnerable Women, Screening for Eye, Ear, and Dental Ailments, Immunization Services, Mental Health Awareness Sessions, Screening for Hypertension and Diabetes, Anemia Screening and Education for Adolescent Girls ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) ID Generation for Women, Nikshay Mitra Enrolment Drive (for TB patient support), Public Health Campaign for 10% Reduction in Consumption of Oil and Sugar, Yoga Demonstrations and Healthy Diet Counselling, Blood Donation Pledge through MyGov Platform, Blood Donation Drive

Outcomes

• Improved Health Awareness:Participants gained valuable knowledge regarding menstrual hygiene, anemia, TB, breast cancer, and preventive health.
• Community Engagement:The drive encouraged active participation from local women and strengthened the hospital’s connection with the community.
• Early Detection:Suspected cases were identified and referred for further diagnostic evaluation and appropriate treatment.
• Health Empowerment:The campaign fostered a sense of empowerment among women and students by promoting health literacy and self-care.
• Enrolment of Abha and Nikshay Mitra: Successful enrollment and verification of several beneficiaries. Increased public awareness regarding eligibility and benefits of Ayushman Bharat scheme. 106 NSS students and Nursing staffs (total 106) were enrolled in Nikshay Mitra
• In Blood donation drive01 students has donated blood and 310 students were taking Blood donation pledge through MyGov Platform.

Conclusion

The Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan successfully addressed crucial aspects of women’s health and highlighted the integral role of women in building healthier families and communities. Through comprehensive screenings, education, and counseling, the initiative made significant strides in empowering women with knowledge and access to essential health services. The collaboration among various departments demonstrated a multidisciplinary approach to public health and reinforced the importance of continued efforts in women’s health advocacy.
