Vitalis 2026 organized on September 6, 2026, by the IMA MSN RMCH Unit at Rohilkhand Medical College and Hospital, Bareilly provided a common platform for medical students from various medical colleges across Uttar Pradesh, strengthening the spirit of medical knowledge, clinical skills, leadership, collaboration, and community service. The conference successfully emerged as a significant initiative to take medical education beyond the classroom and curriculum by connecting students with practical competence. This State Level CME cum Workshop was organized by IMA Bareilly in collaboration with the IMA Medical Students Network, Uttar Pradesh.
The event was conducted under the guidance and direction of the organizing committee comprising Dr. Rajneesh Pathania, Principal and Dean; Dr. Sujoy Mukherjee; Dr. Rashmi Katyal; and Dr. Iram Shaifali.
Inaugural Ceremony
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Dr. Rajiv Goyal, State President, IMA Uttar Pradesh, as the Chief Guest. He was accompanied by Dr. Sharad Kumar Agrawal, Chief Patron, IMA Uttar Pradesh and Past National President, IMA Headquarters; Dr. Ravish Agrawal, President-Elect, IMA Uttar Pradesh 2027; and Dr. Atul Srivastava, President, IMA Bareilly.
Representing Bareilly International University (BIU), Dr. Keshav Agrawal, Chancellor; Dr. Ashok Agrawal, Pro-Chancellor; Dr. Lata Agrawal, Vice Chancellor; and Dr. Kiran Agrawal, Pro-Vice Chancellor were present.
From IMA MSN Uttar Pradesh, the ceremony was attended by Dr. Anuj Chaudhary, Convener; Dr. Auras Katiyar, Past Convener; Dr. Aman Priya Singh, Past Convener; and Dr. Abdul Ahad, State General Secretary.
The dignitaries addressed the medical students and shared their insights on the importance of excellence in medical education, continuous learning, a spirit of service, leadership, and social responsibility. They encouraged the students to utilize their knowledge and skills for the welfare of society.
Organization and Coordination
Dr. Swarnav Sen, State Co-Convener, IMA MSN Uttar Pradesh; Convener, IMA MSN RMCH Unit; and Organizing Secretary, Vitalis 2026, played a key role in the successful organization and coordination of the conference.
On the occasion, the Newsletter of Bareilly International University was also released. Dr. Iram Shaifali served as the Editor-in-Chief, with Dr. Rajneesh Pathania, Dr. Satyajit Nayak, and Dr. Sharad Seth as Co-Editors.
Hand on Workshop: The Major Attraction
The major highlight of the conference was the series of four skill-based hands-on workshops organized for medical students. These included training in Surgical Skills, Neonatal Resuscitation, Postpartum Hemorrhage (PPH), Eclampsia, and Basic Life Support (BLS).
The workshops aimed to provide students from different medical colleges with practical exposure, opportunities to develop clinical skills, and the confidence to make appropriate decisions in real-life clinical situations. The students participated actively and enthusiastically in these sessions.
The valedictory ceremony was presided over by Dr. Arun Kumar Saxena, Minister of State, Ministry of Forests and MLA, Bareilly City. The ceremony was also graced by Dr. Raghavendra Sharma, MLA, Bithri Chainpur, Bareilly, along with other distinguished guests.
Dr. Arun Kumar Saxena and Dr. Raghavendra Sharma addressed the students and appreciated their enthusiasm, participation, and dedication. They highlighted the importance of knowledge, practical skills, discipline, leadership, and social responsibility in the medical profession and motivated the students to serve society and the nation in the future.
During the ceremony, the committees that contributed to the successful conduct of various workshops and activities were felicitated by the distinguished guests.
The noteworthy contributions of the members of the Student Organizing Committee—Dr. Swarnav Sen, Dr. Shivam Trivedi, Dr. Hemant Gangwar, Dr. Payal Pandey, Jayantika Nigam, Ritika Pal, Sanskar Chaurasia, Abhinav, Anirban Dutta, Aaroshi Maheshwari, Ayush Kumar Singh, Debashish Chakraborty, Devansh Sharma, Harsh Shukla, Jeet Patel, Yashika Gupta, Anshul Chahal, Avishi Dubey, Kartikeya Awasthi, Kanak Tiwari, Stuti Singh, Sumit Kant Jha, Shambhavi Jha, and Tanishka Verma—were also appreciated.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Shivam Trivedi, Organizing Co-Secretary, Vitalis 2026 and General Secretary, IMA MSN RMCH Unit.
