With the aim of familiarizing students with modern teaching–learning practices, the Faculty of Paramedical Sciences, Bareilly International University, organized an awareness lecture on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) on February 5, 2026. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from BMLT First Year and BRIT First Year students.
The keynote speaker of the event was Dr. Prashant Gupta, Principal, Faculty of Paramedical Sciences. He explained the concept, importance, and academic as well as professional benefits of Outcome-Based Education. Dr. Gupta highlighted that OBE focuses on clearly defined learning outcomes and supports students in achieving course objectives while strengthening their skills, competencies, and employability. Key elements such as Course Outcomes (COs), Program Outcomes (POs), assessment methodologies, and the role of students were discussed in detail.
The programme was coordinated by Ms. Akanksha Awasthi. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Anmol Sharma and Dr. Amarnath Sharma, Academic and Administrative In-charges, along with faculty members Dr. Anshul Yadav, Soni Gautam, Sujata Katiyar, Manisha Saxena, and NSS Programme Officer Mr. Ankit Kumar, who actively guided and motivated the students.
On this occasion, the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Lata Agrawal, conveyed her message and extended best wishes to the students for a bright future. She emphasized that Outcome-Based Education is a significant step towards improving the quality of higher education and encouraged students to effectively utilize this system for academic excellence and career advancement.
The lecture proved to be informative, insightful, and motivating, enriching students’ understanding of Outcome-Based Education and its relevance in contemporary education.
