“BEST COMMUNITY PROJECT OF THE YEAR” AWARD
International Recognition for Community Outreach and Public Health Impact
The institution achieved a significant milestone through the recognition of its commitment to community oral healthcare and public service when it received the prestigious “Best Community Project of the Year” Award at the Indian Dental Excellence Awards 2026, held as part of the 19th World Dental Sciences and Oral Health Conference and Pierre Fauchard Academy (PFA) Convocation and Awards Ceremony on 6th June 2026 at Manav Rachna Dental College, Faridabad, Haryana.
The award ceremony was organized by the Pierre Fauchard Academy (PFA), Asia Region, in collaboration with Cynodont, India, and formed part of an international gathering of dental professionals, academicians, researchers, clinicians, public health experts, and students from across the globe.
The Best Community Project of the Year Award was conferred in recognition of the institution’s outstanding efforts in planning, implementing, and sustaining community based oral health initiatives that positively impacted the oral health awareness, education, and well being of the target population. The project demonstrated excellence in public health outreach, preventive oral healthcare promotion, community engagement, and social responsibility.
The recognition acknowledged the collective efforts of the institution in conducting community oriented programs, oral health awareness campaigns, preventive dental initiatives, school and community outreach activities, health education interventions, and other socially relevant programs aimed at improving oral health outcomes among diverse population groups. The various outreach and community service activities forming the basis of the award-winning project were conducted under the direct supervision of Dr. Sathyajith Naik N, Principal, Institute of Dental Sciences, whose vision and guidance were instrumental in ensuring the project’s success and community impact. The project was further appreciated for its innovation, sustainability, measurable impact, and contribution towards enhancing public awareness regarding oral health and disease prevention.
The selection process involved a comprehensive evaluation of the project’s objectives, implementation strategies, community participation, outreach activities, impact on beneficiaries, sustainability, innovation, and overall contribution to public health. This achievement highlights the institution’s leadership in community dentistry and reinforces its commitment to addressing public health challenges through evidence based outreach initiatives. The recognition has brought pride to the institution and serves as an inspiration for continued efforts toward improving oral health literacy and healthcare accessibility within the community.
The award was received on behalf of the institution by Dr. Sathyajith Naik N, Principal, Institute of Dental Sciences, who stated that the recognition reflects the institution’s unwavering commitment to community service, public health promotion, and excellence in dental education. Congratulating the institution on this prestigious accomplishment, Dr. Keshav Agrawal, Chancellor, Bareilly International University (BIU); Dr. Ashok Agrawal, Pro Chancellor, BIU; Dr. Lata Agrawal, Vice Chancellor, BIU; Dr. Kiran Agrawal, Pro Vice Chancellor, BIU lauded the dedication and hard work of the entire team.
